Announced at gigs as the angriest man in the band, the Furey is one of the best north west big band drummers, one of the very best north west jazz octet drummers and one of the very very best north west jazz drummers.

Military-trained by the Queens Lancashire Regiment , he is not a man to be trifled with.

(Tonys dark secret is he is the tuned percussionist with Greenalls Brass Band), and he's not very good at tying shoelaces, which could explain why he drums barefoot.
